MCP
Cursor
Cursor is an AI-powered code editor. You can connect it to Clickbase's MCP servers to query your analytics and manage your sites from the editor.
Prerequisites
- Cursor installed.
- A Clickbase team with an active subscription — see Authentication.
One-click install
Every Clickbase docs page has a Connect to Cursor action (in the page-options menu next to "Copy page") that installs the Reader server directly. It opens a deeplink of this form:
cursor://anysphere.cursor-deeplink/mcp/install?name=clickbase&config=<base64-encoded-json>
where <base64-encoded-json> is the base64 encoding of {"url": "https://clickbase.so/mcp/reader"}. For the Reader specifically, that resolves to:
cursor://anysphere.cursor-deeplink/mcp/install?name=clickbase&config=eyJ1cmwiOiJodHRwczovL2NsaWNrYmFzZS5zby9tY3AvcmVhZGVyIn0=
The one-click flow only wires up the Reader. Add the Writer manually if your agent also needs to make changes.
Manual configuration
In your project root, create or edit .cursor/mcp.json:
{
"mcpServers": {
"clickbase-reader": {
"url": "https://clickbase.so/mcp/reader"
},
"clickbase-writer": {
"url": "https://clickbase.so/mcp/writer"
}
}
}
Restart Cursor to load the new configuration. The first time Cursor calls a Clickbase tool, it opens your browser to complete the OAuth authorization flow — see Connectors.
Verify it works
